While Poland is still chilly and spring is barely creeping in, you'll be soaking up the sun on the stunning Portuguese coast in the charming town of Portimão, in the Algarve region, famous for its golden beaches and lush landscapes.
Praia da Rocha in Portimão is an iconic spot on Portugal’s beach volleyball map. We dreamed of hosting a camp in this location—this is where Proskos was born. Join us at one of the best beach volleyball destinations in Europe
Beach Volleyball Holidays on a Paradise Beach
Solo, with a partner, family, or a larger group—it doesn’t matter whether you’re just starting your beach volleyball journey or already a seasoned player. For a whole week, you’ll be immersed in the “beach life”philosophy, meeting fellow beach volleyball enthusiasts like yourself, creating unforgettable moments that you’ll look back on fondly. Training sessions
We offer training sessions every day of the camp. In the registration form, you can choose which skills and aspects of the game you'd like to focus on the most. We take this into account when organizing the training schedule.
Sessions take place in small groups of 4 to 8 people. Usually, there are no more than 6 players per coach per court.
One of our core training values is a highly individualized approach , ensuring you get the best learning experience directly from our expert coaches.
Each session is preceded by a short theoretical lecture.The training plan is developed by a team of specialists and discussed among the best coaches in the country. Every exercise is intentional—you will learn its purpose and effectiveness.
We guarantee full transparency — there are no secrets when it comes to beach volleyball. We encourage discussions and questions— ideally after the training sessions or during free time since every moment on the sand should be used for practice!

Coaches
Professionalism, patience, personal culture, understanding, commitment, and...a great sense of humor! These are the values that define our coaches. Most of them have won medals in the Polish Grand Prix, Polish Championship Qualifiers, Academic Championships, and even the European Youth Championships. Some of them have even claimed World Cup medals!
Each of our coaches puts their heart into teaching, helping you become a better beach volleyball player, all while ensuring you have a fantastic time!
Schedule
The detailed camp schedule will be provided after registration closes, but here are the key points of our camp:
- Each day includes at least one training session around 9:00 AM (depending on the selected package), preceded by a 30-minute theoretical and practical lecture.
- After the first training session, the whole team will have a lunch break before the afternoon games/tournament.
- As the sun sets, we integrate on the beach , participating in activities prepared by our team.
- During additional sessions, you are free to use the courts and equipment—we’ve got everything ready for you! ❤️
Throughout the week, there will be time to explore nearby beaches at your own pace (on this day, there will be no tournaments or games). Wave and ocean lovers will also have the opportunity to try surfing and other water sports..
Of course, if you'd rather stay and play, no worries—the courts will be open!

Portimão – A Story Written in Sand
A port town of 50,000 residents in southern Portugal, Algarve is famous for having some of the most beautiful beaches in Europe! It boasts numerous historical landmarks and scenic hiking trails.
You'll find a wide selection of hotels, restaurants, and bars. You can reach nearby wild beaches in just a few minutes using different transport options. It’s the perfect opportunity to combine camp training with sightseeing.
TIP! On one of the travel blogs, we read that one of the advantages of this city is slightly lower prices compared to neighboring towns.
Beach
The Widest Shoreline in Portugal
How about...playing on one of the most iconic beaches in Europe? That’s exactly the reputation of the place we’re taking you to! Praia da Rocha is surrounded by cliffs on both sides and features dozens of courtsin its heart, welcoming thousands of beach lovers from numerous countries. This spot is a must-see—or rather, a must-play—on the European beach volleyball map! Rock formations extend both onshore and directly into the ocean, and the beach itself is sandy and extremely long. You will find the most charming cafés and bars nearby, perfect for sipping your afternoon coffee! In close proximity, there are also plenty of hotels, which are a great option if you’re looking for accommodation right by the beach.
Weather
We keep track of it for you! In April, temperatures in Portugal range between 15 and 22°C. In 2024, throughout the same week, temperatures varied between 22 and 26°C.
For those who love water and water sports, the ocean temperature might be enticing, ranging between 17 and 19°C!

Thanks to our collaboration with Deep Dish Academy, you can be assured of the quality and preparation of the courts. We will have access to ten to a dozen courts where we will refine your beach volleyball skills.
The courts will be available for you throughout the camp for training sessions, casual games, and camp tournaments.

Food & Dining
The Way to the Heart is Through the Stomach
Portuguese cuisine is not only about diversity and bold flavorsbut also about simplicity in preparation, making it an extraordinary culinary journey. In its dishes, you will undoubtedly taste influences from Arab, Indian, and African cultures, which, combined with Portuguese wines from Porto and Madeira, bring out the full flavor of fresh ingredients. Fish and seafood, prepared by local restaurants will leave a lasting impression, making you want to return to these sunny regions. Be sure to try popular dishes such as "bacalhau" (salted cod), "cozido à portuguesa" (Portuguese-style stew), and "pastel de nata" (custard tarts).
Portimão is a tourist town, meaning there is no shortage of fantastic places with delicious food. You will find restaurants both in the city and near the beach, giving you plenty of opportunities to enjoy your morning coffee with an ocean view. Prices vary, ranging from a few to several dozen euros per meal, depending on your preferences.
For those staying in apartments, we recommend taking advantage of local markets and trying home cooking in the available kitchen facilities – it can be just as tasty, and you'll save a few euros for other experiences.

If beach volleyball alone is not enough for you, or if you're simply curious about the surrounding area, it’s - worth considering renting a car or booking an organized excursion.
We have gathered a few ideas for you:
- In Portimão, there are several tour agencies offering one-day trips, such as visits to nearby cliffs and caves.
- Rent a car if you have a free afternoon or want to take a break from playing in the tournament—hit the road and explore a different part of the coast. The views will not disappoint!
- Relax with a stroll along the remote, wild beaches.
- If you're a fan of water sports, head to the rental shops! You’ll find surfing boards and more waiting for you.
